In recent years I have often received the harassment phone call made by Falun Gong. Formerly these calls were usually made over fixed phones during the working time. Through the display of incoming phones I could easily know which numbers were from Falun Gong and just hanged up. However, recently to my surprise and confusion, Falun Gong has begun to aim at my mobile phone. And most annoyingly, these harassment calls may come at any time. I was really fed up with them.
Just the day before yesterday, it was already 12 o'clock in the evening. My mobile phone rang when I just soothed my baby to sleep. Usually I would not turn down my mobile phone in the evening, but few people call me in late night. Of course, no one would make a call at dead of night except for emergency. This is common sense and every civil person knows it clearly. So when I heard the ringing, I thought there must be something urgent occurring to my hometown or my friends. I got up quickly to reach the phone. Though the ringing of my mobile phone was not noisy at all, it still sounded very harsh in the quietness of night and naturally my baby was waken up and gave out loud cry. I rushed to the phone and answered it anxiously. After I said "hello, who is that" for several times, a female voice came through the phone line suddenly. It sounded hoarse and grave, just like a witch in horror movies. I was greatly scared and all my hair stood on end. I was frightened into almost dropping my phone onto the ground. It turned out to be a recorded phone call by Falun Gong. The female voice talked much nonsense such as dozens of thousands of people died in snow disaster this year, the snow disaster in the South of China was man-made disaster rather than natural disaster, the snow disaster meant that God was selecting among people and people died in the disaster only because they have committed too many sins. Then the voice went on to say that China would be sure to suffer from earthquake and tsunami this year and thousands of people would die soon. The voice also urged me to boycott 2008 Olympic Games and at last it asked me to quit the Young Pioneer Team of China, the Communist Youth League of China and the Communist Party of China.
This call lasted for 15 minutes during which my emotions developed from anxiety, fear, and confusion to mock, contempt and anger. At last I couldn't stand it any more. So I hanged it up quickly and ran to my room resuming to sooth my baby. My baby fell asleep again but I remained awake for a long time.
Falun Gong practitioners, don't harasses me with these calls, please!
